The members of the EIT Food community are world-class players in the international food domain.ABOUT GET WASTED & JOB DESCRIPTIONGet Wasted is an online marketplace for the B2B selling of food surpluses. The platform has been launched in a pilot version in Antwerp in 2021 and is currently being upgraded for a broader launch throughout 2024 (a.o. in Leuven and Antwerp). In 2023 we expanded our sales and product team to build partnerships at the two ends of the value chain: producers and food companies that have surpluses they could sell on the one hand and caterers or professional kitchens at the other hand willing to work with these surpluses.As a product manager you will need to onboard new potential partners on the platform, operationally support the rollout of the platform in new cities and oversee development needs on the backend. You will be part of a small horizontally structured team with where you replace the product strategist in charge of the platform and backend of Get Wasted, and work together with a communications manager, regional project leads, and an overall Get Wasted project manager. JOB AND CONTRACT TYPE We offer a 1-year freelance contract for 2,5 days/week under the Belgian labour law, with possibility to renew next year as part of long term collaboration. If relevant, other formulas can be discussed. LOCATIONRemote work (from Belgium) with (infrequent) meetings in Leuven, Brussels or Ghent. Some travel within Europe can be expected. EXPECTED START DATEAs soon as possible. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Onboard new potential partners on the platform, maintain these relationships, operationally support the rollout of the platform in new cities, oversee development needs on the backend, and, assist in the coordination of the further growth of the platform. Responsibilities are: Align partner needs with the platform developmentOnboard new partners on the platform and offer first line customer supportCollect feedback to solve platform issues and support further developmentLead the SCRUM meeting, such as daily, retrospective and planningDynamically set and adjust priorities and roadmap for the „Get Wasted“-platform and communicate it internally and to our customersCoordinate the platform development streams with our external IT-development partners, under guidance of a senior product managerHands-on test the software that was deliveredBe part of a team that flexibly shares tasks and sets priorities     KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES: QualificationsYou hold a bachelor's or master's degreeExperience in sustainability as a topic, with particular background in food and/or circular economy.Experience as a product management or product ownerExperience with working as part of a SCRUM teamSales experience, affinity with customer relationship and stakeholder management are a plusProficiency in a variety of PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and eagerness to (learn and) use digital tools such as Asana, Slack, Miro, ...) are essential;You are fluent in Dutch and/or English, with French as a plus Skills and behaviorYou enjoy working in a matrix-organisation in a multinational teamYou have a strong sense of ownership with proven record of delivering resultsYou combine strong commercial and representation skillsYou are proactive, independent and trustworthy but value team work tooYou respect timelines and deadlinesYou have good interpersonal and communication skillsYou show a can-do attitude and you are willing and eager to learnYou are comfortable using online tools (Asana, Slack,..) and scrum methodology as the team operates partially remote (and async) EIT FOOD OFFER:EIT Food offers a competitive remuneration.
